Imagine a church that isn't selfish. A church that would help people it may never meet. Imagine is more than just a campaign, it's a new way of life for River City. At the beginning of 2009 we made a commitment as a church to be overwhelmingly generous in 3 areas.
Servolution
"Servolutions" are local service projects done as an extension of God's love. River City will conduct 5-7 servolutions through out the year that consists of passing out school supplies, working at food banks, cleaning up storm damage, and any other local community needs that may come up. Servolutions are open to all of our church family, all you have to do is watch the website and worship guides for the next date.
Church Planting/Assistance
It is our goal to advance the Kingdom of God, and not just our agenda. We're not always perfect at it, but we believe that churches can accomplish more together than separately. Based on that conviction we want to provide assistance to church plants and churches in need, and help them realize the dreams God has put in their heart. As of late 2009, we have helped 2 churches Georgia and 2 churches in Ohio.
Missions
You don't have to study the history of the church in Acts very long to know that the church is a global movement. We want to help spread the Gospel around the world, not just through preaching messages but my meeting the needs of the local communities that God opens up opportunities in. Currently we are building an orphanage in Pilar Argentina, and take 2 trips a year to continue the building efforts there.
